Taman Lagenda, Langkawi
Lagenda Langkawi Dalam Taman (Legendary Langkawi in a Garden) is located next to Kuah Jetty and is a fascinating landscaped garden dedicated to the folklore and myths of Langkawi. The 50-hectare site consists of 17 colourful sculptures, including mythical birds, evil ogres, heroic giants and beautiful princesses.
Officially opened in 1996 and designed by Tuan Syed Ahmad Ibrahim, Taman Lagenda or Lagenda Park was created by reclaiming part of the harbour area. The entrance to the park passes through a Gondwana stone wall showing the formation of Langkawi Island by plate tectonic movements.
